Moderator Badge

Moderators are a group of highly experienced members who are hand picked in order to monitor Drawception or the Official Drawception Discord. It takes a long amount of experience and trust in order to become a moderator of any type.

On Drawception

On the Drawception website, moderators are long time members of the community who are hand picked by Reed to help monitor Drawception. Moderators were introduced on August 2, 2018 after years of Reed being the sole site moderator.

Moderators have the ability to ban and unban users, remove and restore panels, and lock threads among other additional mod tools. Moderators are able to access their own private forum for discussing things and pointing out any issues, as well as being able to access the council forum.[1]

Before someone can become a moderator, they must first have a long and proven track record of being a helpful user. Most of the moderators have joined during the site's early days. If Reed believes that a user would be a good moderator, then he would privately ask them whether they would like to be a moderator or not.[2]

Moderating is invite only, and asking to become a moderator won't help. Moderators cannot invite other users to become moderators, but they can recommend users to Reed.[3]

On February 1st, 2019, moderators were given badges to differentiate themselves from other players. The badge can be viewed next to their username on comments, forum posts and on their profile.
